3 Reasons Why Your Next Holiday Should Be In Turks and Caicos

If you’re currently trying to think of inspiration for your next holiday, look no further than Turks and Caicos. These islands are the perfect Caribbean paradise, and if you haven’t visited before you really need to experience the beautiful white sandy beaches and the luxurious resorts for yourself.

While many celebrities have homes over there, the islands are still relatively uncrowded with tourists, and resorts only started springing up in the 80s! This means you can expect a really relaxing holiday, and the perfect getaway to escape the hustle and bustle of day to day life. We’ve taken a look at why to visit these stunning islands alongside Blue Haven TCI.

Perfect beach destination

The Turks and Caicos islands are the perfect place to go for a beach holiday for so many reasons. For a start, the weather is warm and sunny all year round, but temperatures rarely go above 33 °C so it doesn’t become unbearable. Temperatures are consistent year round, and even the waters stay warm at night time.

The beaches themselves are white, powdery sand, and Grace Bay Beach has reached number one in the Trip Advisor Best Beaches in the World Travellers’ Choice selection several years in a row, and rarely strays from the top few spots.

The blue clear oceans are perfect for water sports and activities such as snorkelling, jet skiing, parasailing, and scuba diving to see the incredible marine life for yourself!

Fine dining

If you’re a foodie you will be very well catered for in Turks and Caicos, as there are a great range of fine dining experiences available on the islands.

Kitchen 218 won a Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence in 2016, and serves up the fresh seafood the islands are known for, as well as a range of other incredible dishes, all artfully presented. Enjoy the chef’s special dishes, such as paella or Lionfish Ceviche, for a true taste of Turks and Caicos.

For casual comfort food such as burgers, paninis and chicken wings, head to Salt Bar and Grill, for a more relaxed bar feel (but still featuring incredible views and fantastic food!). They serve lunch and dinner and even have a happy hour.

Accessible

Since the Turks and Caicos islands are only a short flight from US destinations such as New York, it makes them very easy to get to. You may need a layover if coming from destinations such as London, but you don’t need a visa to visit if you’re from Britain, America, or EU countries!

A quick search on sites such as Skyscanner will show that flights are extremely regular, or if you prefer to speak to somebody, travel companies such as Globehunters can talk you through the best flights to suit you, and even arrange things such as car hire and hotels for you.

When you arrive, you’ll need US Dollars to spend, and they drive on the left like in the United Kingdom!

We hope this has given you some insight into the brilliant destination that is Turks and Caicos! What are you waiting for? It’s time to start planning your next holiday…
